Part of our HMEP grant funds goes towards Planning exercises. Planning for a hazardous materials incident is a priority for us. As a mostly rural region we rely on transportation to get our goods and services delivered throughout the area.  Tabletop exercises and full scale exercises helps us identify the inefficiencies in the region's plan and allows the region to amend the plan when problems are discovered. It gives the responding agencies the ability to get hands on training in responding to incidents on our highways.
